Reflection 10: Puddle

Published:
1.3K Views

Description

This is a puddle of rain water on the side of the road out front of our house, with a reflection of the sky and some other stuff in it. :) I was about to scrap this photo since I didn't think it was good and there was a big blurry spot on the water in the bottom-left (you can see that in the original image), but I cropped that out and tried converting it to black-and-white, which I liked, so it stays. :D

Cropped, converted to grayscale, contrast increased moderately, brightened slightly. Original image here.

Very nice :D I really like this one, if that was in color all the different colors would clash and the peice wouldn't be half as harmonious as it is now, I think you should do more peices like this, the way you pick regular object to take photos of would look a lot different and possibly better than the results you have now... for instance the egg yolk one you did, it would look almost alien and unknown in black and white, it would really capture the veiwers attention, and make them wonder. If that is your house it looks dismal and forlorn almost what I'd picture the houses around the factories in the old days. When the factories would be spewing dust and soot into the air and having it land on everything......as you can see:) I really liked it and thought it was very creative, great job :D
